Questions

What does early access mean?

BruinLedger is opening to a small number of businesses at a time, so each one gets a careful start. Request early access and we’ll be in touch; if you have an invite code, it opens sign-up straight away. BruinLedger is free while it’s in early access.

Why one plan?

Because a small business shouldn’t have to buy a bigger plan to track a project or add a bookkeeper. Everything BruinLedger does is in the one plan, and there’s nothing to upgrade to.

How does the free trial work?

BruinLedger is free for 30 days. You add a card when you sign up, but it isn’t charged until the trial ends, and if you cancel before then you pay nothing. During the trial BruinLedger reads up to 50 receipts and statements; the full 500 a month starts when you subscribe. One free trial per business.

Is my accountant charged?

No. Invite your accountant or bookkeeper and they get their own view of your books at no cost, for as long as you use BruinLedger.

What if I need more than 500 documents a month?

Reading stops at 500 until the next month, unless an owner turns on extra reading in Business settings. Extra documents are 5¢ each, on the same bill. Nothing is charged without that switch. CSV files from your bank never count.

Can I buy BruinLedger once instead of paying every month?

BruinLedger reads your receipts and statements, keeps your books backed up and stays up to date with security fixes, and those cost money every month. The yearly plan is the closest thing to paying once: one payment a year, with two months free. (QuickBooks stopped selling its desktop software outright for the same reason.)

Will the price go up?

Not without warning. We give at least 30 days’ notice before changing the price of a plan you’re on, as our Terms of Service say, and the price never depends on how many people you add.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from Business settings. Download everything first: every account, transaction, invoice, bill and contact as spreadsheet files. Your books are yours.
